Commercial performance
Risk-adjusted returns pursued from durable businesses, productive assets and scalable platforms. Strategic relevance is not a substitute for a commercial case; it is a filter applied on top of one.

Investment & operating platform
Nebula Group is a UK-headquartered investment and operating platform. We back commercially sound opportunities in sectors where Britain already has real scientific, engineering and institutional strength — and where long-term capital and coordinated execution decide whether promise becomes durable commercial scale.
What we are for
Disciplined capital can generate attractive returns and strengthen national capability. The two are not in tension.
Risk-adjusted returns pursued from durable businesses, productive assets and scalable platforms. Strategic relevance is not a substitute for a commercial case; it is a filter applied on top of one.
Support for strategically important sectors in which long-term capital can unlock science, infrastructure and industrial capacity that shorter-duration money will not fund.
Skilled employment, supply-chain activity and regeneration — with particular interest in opportunities beyond London and the South East.
Operating capability and long-term value, rather than passive or short-duration financial exposure. We bring governance, sector expertise and an ownership mindset.
Where we focus
The common thread across our mandate is strategic relevance: sectors where the United Kingdom has meaningful scientific, engineering or institutional strengths, but where patient capital and coordinated execution make the difference between promising potential and durable commercial scale.
ENR
Generation, storage and grid-adjacent assets where the return profile is underwritten by long-duration demand and national security of supply.
INF
Physical networks and the assets that move goods, data and people — including the regional infrastructure that unlocks industrial capacity outside the South East.
MFG
Production capability, speciality materials and the industrial base that turns UK research into things that can be made, sold and exported at scale.
DIG
Compute, data infrastructure and applied AI where value accrues to durable systems and deployed capability rather than to speculative positioning.
LSC
Data-rich precision medicine, therapeutic assets and clinical execution — an inherently global sector in which UK science is a genuine strength.
AVS
Aerospace supply chains, uncrewed systems and space-adjacent capability, drawing on established UK defence and aerospace engineering depth.
PRP
Development and regeneration where investment produces skilled employment and lasting local benefit alongside a commercial return.
FIN
Selected financial and venture platforms that extend the group's reach, deal access and ability to structure capital around long-duration opportunities.
UK anchored, globally connected
The United Kingdom is the centre of Nebula's strategy. But many of the most important sectors in our mandate are inherently international. Intellectual property, specialist teams, data, supply chains, customers and strategic assets routinely sit across several jurisdictions.
We therefore expect certain investments to be global in nature — including cross-border acquisitions, joint ventures, licensing arrangements and platform partnerships.
Our test is a single question: can an opportunity produce attractive commercial outcomes while also creating meaningful long-term value for the UK? Depending on the investment, that value may take the form of a UK headquarters, research and development, manufacturing, clinical execution, skilled employment, intellectual-property stewardship, or a substantive commercial base.
The aim is to connect UK capital and capability with the best global opportunities — and to bring the best global capability to bear on UK platforms.
Group structure
Group-level oversight provides consistency in capital allocation, investment approval, risk management and governance. Sector businesses and project entities are responsible for operational delivery, supported by relevant management teams and specialist advisers. The structure preserves clear accountability without over-centralising day-to-day decisions.
Energy & infrastructure
Generation, storage, grid-adjacent assets and the physical infrastructure that supports industrial capacity.
Aviation & space
Aerospace, uncrewed systems and space-adjacent engineering capability.
Healthcare & life sciences
Precision medicine, therapeutic assets, AI-enabled discovery and integrated clinical development.
Capital & venture
Trade finance, credit and selected venture platforms supporting deal access and capital structuring across the group.
Individual opportunities may be held through dedicated vehicles, and may include existing management teams or third-party stakeholders where that produces the strongest alignment and execution model.
Get in touch
Trusted channels take time to establish. We would rather have the conversation early, so that when an opportunity appears it can be reviewed quickly and candidly by people who already know one another.
